Intersource is an inventory management platform & marketplace built by contractors, for contractors, on a mission to fix how materials move.
How it started
Intersource was founded by Daniel Cantatore, a contractor and owner of Alpha Landscaping and Construction, a multi-million-dollar landscaping and construction business in Ontario. After years of dealing with garden centers and suppliers that could not reliably confirm stock levels, delivery timing, or availability, Daniel hit a breaking point. He was tired of chasing down inventory, unable to verify what was in stock, and frustrated that he could not price jobs at night when he was finally off-site and had time to work on quotes. That daily pain is what sparked the idea for Intersource: a smarter way for contractors and suppliers to work together.
Built by a founder duo
Daniel teamed up with co-founder Giancarlo Giorno, who brings a startup background across tech sales and marketing. He also has experience leading go-to-market strategy for technology products within a major consulting firm and managing a 50M+ pipeline. While Daniel lives the contractor experience on the ground, Giancarlo focuses on how to scale the solution, build repeatable growth engines, and position Intersource as the go-to platform in the trades ecosystem. Together, they blend deep industry insight with modern go-to-market strategy.
What we're building
Intersource is an all-in-one inventory and ordering platform that helps contractors see what is in stock, source materials faster, and price jobs confidently, even after hours. The platform gives suppliers a real-time way to manage and publish inventory, process orders, and sell online so stock levels stay accurate and contractors stop guessing. It is designed specifically for the trades, where timing, material availability, and trust between partners can make or break a job.
